Erie, Dec. 4 - Mrs. Sarah Eighmey died yesterday afternoon at 3:20 o'clock at the age of 83 years. She was taken ill in August and had been at the home of her son Delbert in Erie township

She was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Monroe county most of her life. She married William Eighmey February24, 1879. The husband preceded her in death January 1, 1933

Surviving are three sons, Austin, Cornelius and Delbert, all of Erie township; a daughter, Mrs. Harley Mitchell of the South Custer road; two sisters, Mrs. Hannah McClenother of Adrian and Mrs. C.H. Jerome of Oregon; 25 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Arrangements for the funeral are in charge of the Mulholland funeral home.

Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Delbert Eigmey residence. The Rev. Fred Pohley and the Rev. Gordon D. Everett will officiate and interment will be in Union cemetery.
